Forensic reports show that in August Victoria Marten, 10, had been dosed with meth, raped, strangled, stabbed and dismembered just a day after her 10th birthday.
Michelle Martens, the mother from New Mexico admitted to watching her daughter get raped and killed by Fabian Gonzales and Jessica Kelley.
Martens reportedly changed her story to investigators multiple times, but according to Albuquerque television station KOB, the final story finally came out:
Michelle Martens told police she noticed a bag of meth on a table in the living room where Victoria was playing. She said she left and came back to find the bag gone.
Then her story changed. She reportedly told police she witnessed Gonzales and Kelley give Victoria meth, saying “it calms her down” so they can rape her.
As she watched, Michelle Martens allegedly said her daughter begged them to stop. Michelle Martens told police “I let them do it.” Then she told police “Jessica was stabbing her,” then Kelley and Gonzalez started “cutting her arms.”
Court documents also state that Michelle Martens had sex with Gonzalez just 20 minutes after her daughter was raped and murdered.
According to Michelle Martens, this all happened around 5 p.m., hours before 911 calls the next morning. In fact, the three started cleaning up and made dinner after the murder. She told police “they acted like nothing ever happened.”
After interviewing for hours, officers discovered Victoria had been sexually assaulted by a number of men, all while Michelle Martens watched.
Michelle Martens told police that Gonzales raped her daughter every day for a month before the murder, even taking pornographic images and videos.
Martens has been charged with kidnapping and child abuse resulting in death.
Gonzales is facing the same charges as well as child rape.
Kelley was also charged with kidnapping, child rape, and child abuse resulting in death.
