The wedding of Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, 54, to Scottish actress Louise Linton, 36, in Washington on Saturday was a high-profile affair made even more special by the fact that Vice President Mike Pence officiated.
Attended by approximately 300 guests, including President Trump and his family, the wedding took place at the historic Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium on the National Mall. It was his third time at the altar and her second.
The couple reportedly met at a wedding reception in Los Angeles in 2013 and were engaged to be married after he proposed two years later.
A former Goldman Sachs executive, Mnuchin was appointed by President Trump to lead the Treasury Department earlier this year.
Linton’s latest starring role was in the 2016 independent thriller Intruder, in which she played a cellist whose home is broken into by a stalker. Prior to that, she appeared in the 2016 remake of the 2002 cult horror movie Cabin Fever and had a minor supporting role in Warren Beatty’s 2016 film, The Rules Don’t Apply.
Originally from Scotland, Linton moved to Los Angeles to study journalism at Pepperdine University and later attended University of West LA law school while she also pursued acting roles. You might have also seen her on CSI: NY and the made-for-TV movie William & Kate, in which she played a close friend of Kate Middleton.
