A former MMA fighter has been arrested for literally picking up his victim from an Arizona bar and taking her home.
Rodolfo Ramirez, 28, had “met” the victim outside the Bottle Blond Bar in Scottsdale Saturday night, September 17. The woman was so intoxicated she was unable to walk, so her female friend who she had come with left her to go get the car. When the friend returned with the car, the victim was gone, and was not answering her phone.
Before she had gone to get the car, the friend remembered seeing a bearded man hug the victim.
Surveillance cameras caught Ramierez literally picking the victim up and carrying her over his shoulder into the Galleria parking garage, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her. Then he reportedly took her to his hope and raped her twice more, before finally driving her to an intersection near her friend’s dorm in Tempe and dropping her off.
When questioned by police, Ramierez initially denied it, then said they had “consensual sex” several times. He claimed that the victim’s friend never returned, so they just got an Uber back to his house. He finally agreed that due to her unconscious, intoxicated state, she could not possibly have consented.
The victim stated when she woke up she was shocked and scared.
Ramirez is a former employee at the Hotel Valley Ho. Since his arrest Wednesday, he is being held in jail without bond, and is scheduled to next appear in court on September 29.
