Mom doesn’t feed infant for two days, charged with murder

A mother has been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree child abuse in the death of her 6-month-old son.

Lovily Kristine-Anwonette Johnson, 22, of Wyoming, Michigan, was charged on Monday after the baby died from not being fed for two entire days. The infant, Noah Johnson, was left in an apartment by himself with no air conditioning. According to reports, the temperature inside reached a disturbing high of 90 degrees.

Johnson was arrested after bringing the 12-pound child to a hospital on Wednesday afternoon. According to Child Protective Services, Noah’s body had already started to decompose by the time he was brought in for medical aid.

The child had remained strapped in a car seat on the upper floor of Johnson’s apartment and she had not fed him since the prior Monday evening, authorities said.

Child Protective Services had previously made complaints against Johnson regarding both Noah and her 2-year-old daughter.

She entered a not guilty plea and was denied bond.
