Today is September 15 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion. 1-Trump issues stark warning to Iran after reports country is considering plot to assassinate US ambassador
Fox News reports: President Trump took to Twitter late Monday to issue a stern warning to Iran that an assassination attempt or attack against the U.S. in retaliation of the airstrike that killed Gen. Qassem Soleimani earlier this year will be met with a counterattack that “will be 1,000 times greater in magnitude.”

Trump cited recent reports that claim Tehran is considering an assassination attempt on Lana Marks, the United States’ ambassador to South Africa. U.S. officials have been aware of threats against the ambassador since the spring, but intelligence suggests those threats have become more specific in recent weeks.

An intelligence source told Fox News the intel community is taking the threat against the ambassador seriously and believe the Iranian regime potentially has the ability to act on an assassination plot. She is just one of several U.S. officials that American intelligence agencies believe Tehran is considering for retaliation for the killing of Soleimani. Iran has denied the reports.

DML: I comment on this in this morning’s Facebook Walk & Talk (see below). Trump is making the right move here.

2-Kamala Harris accidentally touts plans under a ‘Harris administration’ during virtual roundtable

Kamala Harris, Joe Biden’s running mate in the 2020 election, raised eyebrows on Monday evening after she accidentally touted economic plans under a “Harris administration.”

Speaking during a virtual roundtable with small business owners in Arizona, Harris vowed that they will have an ally in the White House with the campaign’s “Build Back Better” initiative.

However, the California senator appeared to briefly suggest that she was at the top of the Democratic ticket.

“A Harris administration, together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States,” she said. She quickly clarified, “The Biden-Harris administration will provide access to $100 billion in low-interest loans and investments from minority business owners.”

DML: The truth always comes out.

3-Sheriff calls out NBA star LeBron James
Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva on Monday challenged NBA star LeBron James to match and double the reward money being offered for information on the gunman who ambushed and shot two deputies over the weekend.

Speaking with KABC Radio on the John Phillips Show, Villanueva said the reward money reached $175,000 — a combination of donations of $100,000 from the county and $75,000 from two private individuals.

“This challenge is to Lebron James. I want you to match that and double that reward,” Villanueva said.

LeBron won’t step up, he has no concern for cops.  LeBron James is an overrated athlete. He is overpaid, angry at the world black guy who I think truly hates police.  He is deep down a “hood boy” now hiding behind an orange ball.  He hates the USA as it is, and he hates Trump.  He’s a scumbag who wants Biden to win.  This means James is a low information voter.  Check out his latest tweet:

4-Ohio will not provide return postage for mail-in ballots for 2020 election
Ohio‘s Controlling Board ruled against a push by Republican Secretary of State Frank LaRose to attach free postage to every mail-in ballot sent out within the state on Monday, by a party-line vote of 4-2.

LaRose’s fellow Republicans on the panel said the move should require approval from the GOP-led state legislature, according to Fox 19.

LaRose had already reportedly tried to push through a package of reforms in time for Election Day but was having trouble gaining any political traction for his agenda.

“Ohio has a sound elections system, but today was another missed opportunity by the legislature to make a small change, without an impact on our state budget, that would yield a big improvement,” he said.

DML: Postage or no postage, this mail-in voting is the destruction of our voting system.  This year get ready for an Election Day chaos.

5-LA coronavirus hospitalizations drop to April levels, though virus still ‘widespread,’ officials say
Los Angeles County health officials announced 11 new coronavirus deaths on Sunday while pointing to a drop in hospitalizations to figures seen back in April.

Officials reported of 793 confirmed cases currently hospitalized, 35% of which are in intensive care.

Countywide hospitalizations have been gradually declining since late July and now reflect figures seen in the spring, per L.A.’s COVID-19 surveillance dashboard. The number of hospitalized patients is down from about 1,000 new daily admissions just a few weeks ago.

DML: “Widespread” my ass.  Define “widespread?”  Here’s my take… Like all other illnesses, e.g. the flu and the common cold, the Covid19 illness has probably run its course and is dropping off.  But the liberals hate that message and will ignore it until the day of the election.
