“Morning Joe” ratings in post-Trump feud

President Donald Trump demonstrated once again that he’s the most media centric president the U.S. has ever had.

His recent Twitter attacks on “Morning Joe” hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough saw the next day’s show reach its highest ratings ever.

According to Nielsen ratings and the Associated Press, roughly 1.66 million people tuned in to “Morning Joe” Friday morning, beating its previous highest ratings from the day after the election.

Trump has mocked MSNBC in recent months for low ratings, saying it’s due to their negative coverage of him. But even he admitted to watching the show Friday, tweeting: “Watched low rated @Morning_Joe for first time in long time. FAKE NEWS. He called me to stop a National Enquirer article. I said no! Bad show.”

Trump received ample criticism from both sides of the aisle Thursday for bashing Brzezinski out of the blue, referencing a story where she was “bleeding badly from a facelift” while at a new years party at Mar-a-Lago last year.
