New York — A woman was arrested after leaving her 10-year-old daughter alone in a vehicle for over an hour while she gambled in a casino.
The woman, Hui Shao Lin, 42, was gambling at Resorts World Casino, located near John F. Kennedy International Airport, on Sunday. Security noted that the girl was alone and unattended for approximately 90 minutes.
The child was in the car with the windows down on the fourth level of the parking structure, according to officials.
The girl’s mother was tracked in the casino using security footage. Security personnel called the police around 1 p.m. and Lin was arrested, police said on Monday.
Lin was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
