After the press gathered around Chicago Cubs outfielder Albert Almora Jr. prior to Wednesday night’s game against the Washington Nationals, the outfielder made it clear that he did not flip off President Trump during a group photo op at the White House.
In the picture taken with the president during the Cubs visit to the White House Wednesday, Almora appeared—at first glance—to be sticking out his middle finger. A closer look reveals that his index finger was also extended.
Even so, the photo took Twitter by storm, prompting Almora to defend himself to the media.
“I would never do that to the president of the United States,” Almora said. “We laugh about it now, but there’s definitely two fingers out there. … The guys were giving me a hard time about it, but then I pointed out the second finger and we’re good.”
Did he or did he not give POTUS the middle finger? Cubs player Albert Almora Jr. denies this & says his index finger is out.
