Mueller adds another Clinton donor to Russia-Trump investigation

In addition to the 13 investigators Special Counsel Robert Mueller has already hired to investigate the alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, he has added yet another left-leaning lawyer to the team.

Concerns have been mounting about the number of people Mueller has chosen who are Democratic donors. The newest addition – Elizabeth Prelogar – is also reported to be a donor to both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Prelogar, a lawyer in the Office of the Solicitor General, donated $250 to the Clinton campaign in September.  She also gave $250 in October 2012 to both the Obama campaign and the Obama Victory Fund.

Prelogar is also a former law clerk for both liberal Supreme Court judges Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elena Kagan. Fox News Insider reported that she also speaks fluent Russian.

On Fox News’ Outnumbered Wednesday, the concern surrounding Mueller’s liberal hires was discussed, with Meghan McCain pointing out that Democrats would be “screaming bloody murder” if the situation was reversed and a Democrat president was being investigated by all GOP lawyers.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich blasted the situation in another interview, noting “the first names who came up on Mueller’s list are all people who gave to Democrats, two are people with a record of hiding evidence from the defense, and one is a person who defended the Clinton Foundation… Now in this environment, with a Justice Department where 97 percent of the donations for last year went to Hillary… explain to my why I should relax as a Republican?”

The conversation about Mueller is at the 22:40 – 28:20 minute mark in the video below:
