Muslim man charged with throwing rocks at two women

A Toronto man was arrested Wednesday and accused of perpetrating numerous violent attacks on women, which occurred in the downtown area of the Canadian city.

According to Toronto Police, the first reported incidents took place around 8:10 a.m. on April 12, when Ahmed Oumer, 24, allegedly threw rocks at the back of one woman, and then another, with only minutes elapsing between the attacks.

The following day, at 1:09 p.m., Oumer allegedly approached a third woman and kicked her in the back of the head, the Toronto Sun reported.

Investigators said that the woman suffered a concussion from the trauma to her head.

On April 15, at 10:30 a.m., Oumer allegedly approached a fourth woman and kicked her in the back, then accosted another woman whom he kicked in the chest.

The Toronto Police said that all of the alleged attacks by Oumer were “random and unprovoked.”

Oumer was charged with two counts of assault, two counts of assault with a weapon and one count of assault causing bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
