Muslim screams Allah as he murders Jew but officials won’t deem it hate crime.

Jewish leaders in France have condemned the filing of an indictment against murderer Kobili Traore this week, as it makes no mention of the fact Traore, who is Muslim, killed his victim because she was Jewish.

Traore was indicted Wednesday after he admitted to killing 66-year-old Sarah Halimi.  After attacking her, he threw her dying body from the third story window of her apartment.

The 27-year-old Traore, Halimi’s long time neighbor, had no history of mental illness, but was an anti-semitic radical Muslim, and shouted ‘Allah hu akbar [Arabic for “Allah is the greatest”] as he committed the crime. Halimi’s daughter told authorities he called her a “dirty jew” in an elevator two years before.  And yet prosecutors failed to disclose this was a hate crime in their wording of the indictment.

CRIF, the umbrella group of French Jewish community, were abhorred. “CRIF is astonished that the anti-Semitic character of the murder was omitted,” read a translated statement from the group. The organization has been concerned with how authorities were handling this case for a long time, posting a countdown clock that kept track of the time it took Traore to be indicted on their website. They have accused authorities of covering up Halimi’s death.

The Bureau for Vigilance Against Anti-Semitism also criticized the indictment.

“The personality of the criminal, who shouted ‘Allah hu akbar’ as Islamo-Fascists do, his modus operandi, and his choice of a victim he knew was Jewish affirms our thesis and certitude. The crime is incontestably anti-semitic,” the Bureau wrote in a statement.

Brigitte Kuster, a representative for the Republicans party in the French lower house, filed a critical query on the case to Minister of the Interior Gerard Collomb saying Halimi was “tortured and murdered by an individual with premeditated anti-Semitic intentions which serve as evidence, even if the judiciary has so far ignored this.”
