A male corpse was found in Central Park Sunday by a parkgoer, the New York Daily News reports. The dead man was found floating in a pond, according to police.
NYPD officers discovered the body near the model boat pond, Conservatory Water, at Fifth Ave. and E. 74th St.
The passerby pulled the man out of the water and onto the ground by the pond’s edge.
After he called 911, cops described the man as fully clothed, and in his 20s or 30s. He reportedly carried no ID.
The city medical examiner’s office will determine the man’s cause of death, cops stated.
