N. Korea condemns U.S. bomb testing

After two US B-1 bombers ran a practice bombing session in Korea’s demilitarized zone late Saturday night, North Korean officials are condemning the act as a “reckless” provocation.

The Associated Press reports that the North Korea state media criticized the U.S. for “reckless military provocations” in a commentary Sunday from the ruling party’s Rodong Sinmun newspaper.

The back and forth follows from months of escalating tensions between the U.S. and North Korea, culminating in North Korea’s testing of intercontinental ballistic missiles last week.

Trump made clear the U.S. is planning a way to contain the rogue state at his press briefing in Warsaw, Poland last week, stating:

“I think we’ll just take a look at what happens over the coming weeks and months with respect to North Korea. It’s a shame that they’re behaving this way, but they are behaving in a very, very dangerous manner and something will have to be done about it.”
