NAKED man humping dead shark identified (photo)

A picture of a naked heavy-set man humping the back of a dead shark went viral on social media this week, sparking interest about who he is?  According to a Florida sports reporter, the naked guy in the photo is a former New York City police officer.

Sports reporter David Pingalore in Orlando was contacted by a man who claims to know the retired cop and provided more photos of the man. “This guy lives in upstate New York,” Pingalore said during a radio interview this week. “That photo was taken two years ago off the shores of Long Island.”

Pingalore revealed the naked man as ‘Sean.’ He did not give the last name, and claims he is waiting for permission to share more pics.  Pingalore said his source is a friend of Sean’s.  Allegedly, while the friend was on vacation in Florida he happened to be watching his newscast about the photo.

Originally, Florida Gators football coach Jim McElwain was wrongly identified as the man in the photo. Pingalore claims he arranged a meeting between the cop and McElwain, but just before the meeting the cop backed out because he fears for his life.  “The naked man wanted to meet Coach McElwain, but then all of a sudden — an hour later — he flipped and got scared,” Pingalore said. “The man that is naked on the shark (Sean) is afraid for his life because he believes bounty hunters and people who are shark people, whatever, those people would be called.”
