U.S. Navy SEAL teams are one of the most respected commando forces in the world, but one decorated member of that elite force is currently under investigation for allegedly appearing in dozens of pornographic films during the past seven years.
Navy Chief Special Warfare Officer Joseph John Schmidt III has served in the military for more than 23 years, but his alter-ego is a porn star who goes by the name of “Jay Voom.”
SEAL spokesman Capt. Jason Salata said, “There are very clear regulations which govern outside employment … as well as prohibitions on behavior that is discrediting to the service. We have initiated a formal investigation into these allegations. There are very clear regulations which govern outside employment by [Naval Special Warfare] personnel as well as prohibitions on behavior that is discrediting to the service.”
Schmidt is a just a year away from retirement, so the investigation into whether he violated rules which require SEALs to have any outside work they do get approved in advance could affect his rank and pension benefits.
Schmidt’s wife is also a porn star who goes by the name of “Jewels Jade”.
“It helped our family,” said Jade of the porn industry. “It got us out of a lot of financial issues we were going through. I could take care of the children. I could try to get us out of financial debt.”
