The feud between Trump detractor Kathy Griffin and her neighbor, CEO of KB Homes Jeffrey Mezger, just took a new turn. After Griffin filed a restraining order against him, Mezger has now returned the favor.
Kathy Griffin’s boyfriend, Randy Bick, faced off against Mezger in September, in a dispute over the noise level coming from Mezger’s house. (Warning: explicit language referenced below).
According to reports, Mezger’s grandchildren were playing in his pool when Griffin and Bick were disturbed by the noise, prompting them to call the police.
The situation motivated Mezger to go on a vulgar rant, calling Griffin a “bald d-ke” and a “c-nt” whom President Donald Trump “kind of put the heat on.”
Griffin filed a restraining order against Mezger on September 22 in the Los Angeles County Court, asking a judge to protect her from Mezger and his wife, Sandra. Bick also reportedly filed a separate restraining order against the KB Homes executive.
Now, Mezger, too, has filed a restraining order. On Wednesday, he filed against Griffin in Santa Monica, Calif., claiming that she and her boyfriend spy on him and his family.
Mezger says Griffin and Bick have recorded and filmed conversations he has had on his property for more than a year, according to the restraining order filing, obtained by People.
“Ms. Griffin (and/or cohabitant Randy Bick) has admitted to making audio (and video) recordings of private conversations on my property over the past 15 months. In addition, Griffin (and/or Bick) have aimed an outdoor video-recording device at areas including a Jacuzzi where my young grandchildren sometimes play,” he says, including a photo of specific outdoor camera he references.
“We have also been forced to keep the windows that face the Griffin-Bick residence closed with the blinds drawn at all times, to reduce the chance of becoming the unwilling subject of further illegal recordings,” Mezger claimed in the order.
“Ms. Griffin and Mr. Bick have completely deprived my family and me of the use of our yard, and have essentially rendered living in our home intolerable,” Mezger concludes in the filing.
Griffin came under fire earlier this year, when she posed for a photo while holding a fake severed head of President Donald J. Trump. Then, after apologizing for the “joke,” she blamed the Trump family for attacking her and using her to distract the media.
