Another Netflix actor has been fired for sexual assault allegations. Actor Danny Masterson, who starred in the streaming service’s “The Ranch,” was let go after multiple sexual assault allegations were leveled against him. Multiple women have accused Masterson of drugging and raping them in early 2000.

In a statement to USA Today, Netflix said: “As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of The Ranch. Yesterday was his last day on the show, and production will resume in early 2018 without him.”

Masterson, who made his mark in television as the character, Steven Hyde, on “That 70’s show,” plays Jameson ‘Rooster’ Bennett on “The Ranch.”

Masterson is an original cast member, having a role on the Emmy-winning series since it debuted in 2016. The series also stars Ashton Kutcher, who is credited as a producer of the series, and who was a fellow actor on “That 70’s Show.”

Masterson said he is “very disappointed” in Netflix’s decision and maintains that he has “denied the outrageous allegations” against him.

“Law enforcement investigated these claims more than 15 years ago and determined them to be without merit. I have never been charged with a crime, let alone convicted of one,” Masterson wrote in a statement released to USA Today. “In this country, you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. However, in the current climate, it seems as if you are presumed guilty the moment you are accused.”

According to USA Today:

Los Angeles police began investigating Masterson, the department confirmed in March, after three women reported being sexually assaulted by him in the early 2000s.

A representative for Masterson, who has not been charged with a crime, denied the allegations in a statement the same month. The representative said one of the accusers was Masterson’s longtime girlfriend, who continued to date him after the alleged incident.

“The alleged incident occurred in the middle of their six-year relationship, after which she continued to be his longtime girlfriend,” the statement said.

The allegations against Masterson are deeply tied with the Church of Scientology, of which Masterson is a member. Members of the church have spoken for Masterson in the case, while a producer of a program that showcases former church members spoke with one of Masterson’s accusers before she made her allegations.

Netflix’s actions come after its executive, Andy Yeatman, director of global kids content, said the company didn’t believe Masterson’s accusers.

Netflix quickly distanced itself from Yeatman’s comments in its statement before deciding to fire Masterson.

Kutcher has yet to comment on the allegations or his long-time associate’s firing.

Another famous actor recently rejected by Netflix was “House of Cards” actor Kevin Spacey. Following multiple allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment, Netflix said it would no longer produce projects which involve Spacey.

The videos below include a news report about Masterson’s firing, as well as a clip from an interview he did with Kutcher regarding their younger days, when the two bragged about going out, picking up women and partying with no camera phones to capture their wild antics.
