DNC Chairwoman resigns over emails exposed by WikiLeaks that show her intentional bias toward Bernie Sanders – but her replacement has now been exposed for the same thing.
DNC Vice-Chair Donna Brazile will serve as interim chair of the Democratic Party through the general election in November, due to the resignation of current chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, effective at the end of the Democratic National Convention on Thursday.
Almost immediately, WikiLeaks has popped out an email from among the 20,000 hacked emails that shows Brazile demonstrating obvious bias toward Sanders as well.
On May 13, an email from DNC staff member Abby Phillip to Donna Brazile said:
“Hi Donna, Do you have a minute to chat today? Wanted to ask you about this fight between the Sanders camp and DNC over adequate representation on the platform committee and others ahead of the convention.”
Brazile responded by saying, “I have no intentions of touching this. Why? Because I will cuss out the Sanders camp!”
Publicly, she is now expressing different sentiments. Appearing on “This Week” Sunday, Brazile said, “I went over yesterday to see the Sanders campaign [and] I apologized. I think, the allegations, the e-mails, the insensitivity, the stupidity needs to be addressed.”
She wasn’t aware one of her own emails was about to become public:
