A troubling report states that a woman tried to poison her grandmother with liquid anti-freeze in Roxbury Township, New Jersey.

Elise Conroy, 26, was taken into custody Saturday on an attempted murder charge, according to authorities.

Conroy, who lives with her 84-year-old grandmother, allegedly bought the anti-freeze with the purpose of poisoning the older woman. Prosecutors say Conroy poured it into a drink and served it to the elderly woman.

Officials have not said whether the woman was harmed by the alleged poisoning attempt. A possible motive has not be disclosed.

The 26-year-old was being held pending a detention hearing.
