While President Trump has endured relentless criticism from all angles since stepping foot in office, he has a small silver lining to hang his hat on: his approval rating is still better than Bill Clinton’s first term when was in office.

According to, Trump currently stands at 39% approval. Clinton, in June of his first term, was at 37.8%. While not a huge difference, it still marks a moral victory for Trump to do better than the husband of his defeated opponent.

Trump’s disapproval rating, however, was indeed far higher than Clinton’s, but polls have shown voters are concerned about the current Russia investigation. If Trump can somehow make it out unscathed, his approval rating should enjoy some  growth and his disapproval will downsize.
