In a surprising result, Jim Brown came away from a meeting with Donald Trump Tuesday saying, “I fell in love with him because he really talks about helping African-American people.”
Brown said he was impressed that “My president [is] amenable to listening to those who do not vote for him.”
He said they talked about making America a better country in matters of the poor, African-Americans, education, violence, realistic economic development and working together. He felt his Amer-I-Can organization and President Trump will work well together. He came away saying, “But the reception I got from him, I’ll always remember that because he listened to us.”
