North Korea: ‘US pushing towards nuclear war’

North Korea issued a harsh warning on Tuesday after the United Stated flew two supersonic B-1B Lancer bombers in a training exercise near the Korean peninsula. North Korea claims the drills place the two countries on a very dangerous path.

According to Reuters, the North Korean news agency KCNA said, “The reckless military provocation is pushing the situation on the Korean peninsula closer to the brink of nuclear war.”

After several failed missile tests over the past few months, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry said Monday the country will accelerate its nuclear program and claims the country is ready to respond to any act of aggression taken by the United States.

Following North Korea’s latest failed rocket launch, President Trump said that communist leader Kim Jong-Un will eventually develop better missiles and that “we can’t allow it to happen.”

Trump said on Monday that he would be willing to meet with Kim.
