A man connected to the NYC terrorist has released a statement, stating the attack “is not from our religion.”

Wednesday afternoon, the FBI released a wanted posted, seeking information about a man identified as Mukhammadzoir Kadirov, who has connections to the terrorist responsible for the truck attack in New York City Tuesday.

Within an hour after making the announcement, the FBI posted another update on their Twitter page, saying Kadirov, a foreign national from Uzbekistan who lives in New Jersey, had been located.

According to the Associated Press, FBI officials clarified that Kadirov may not have any role in the terror attack, but since he was a friend of the terrorist, Sayfullo Saipov – and Saipov didn’t have many friends -they were interested in speaking with him.

A person who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity said Kadirov was not a close friend to Saipov, but only knew him through their mutual work, as they were both Uber drivers.

When Kadirov learned that Saipov was the NYC terrorist and realized he knew him, he reported called a community advocacy organization, who encouraged him to cooperate with authorities.

Thursday, the Associated Press released a statement from Kadirov, in which he stated: “It is so sad and unbelievable. This not from our religion. It is not acceptable. We as Muslims completely reject this kind of actions. No human being who has a heart can do this.”

Below is the original wanted poster which the FBI had released Wednesday.

The follow video shows the moment that Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, a 29-year-old Uzbekistan native, was arrested, after he drove a rented Home Depot truck down a bicycle lane in downtown Manhattan, mowing down everyone in his path, all in the name of ISIS. Eight people were killed and about a dozen badly injured.

Saipov had come to the U.S. through the “Diversity Visa” lottery program in 2010. Wednesday, the FBI filed federal terrorism charges against him in the brutal attack on American soil.

President Trump has now vowed to terminate the Diversity Visa lottery program.
