New features are being added to the D.C. home where the Obama family will be moving when they leave the White House.
Most prominent and noticeable is the “big, beautiful wall” that Obama is having built around the $5.3 million home.
Early Friday morning, crews were seen working diligently to complete construction on the new wall.
According to TMZ, the house will also be equipped with a completely upgraded electrical system and a catwalk over one staircase. The pricey home also boasts a Secret Service booth outside and an additional office and bathroom which are being converted from a garage.
The Obamas are leasing the 1928 home from Bill Clinton’s former press secretary, Joe Lockhart, and his wife, Giovanna Gray, who works at Glamour magazine.
The nine-bedroom, eight-and-a-half bath home is located in the same neighborhood as Ivanka Trump’s and Jared Kushner’s new D.C. home.
