Obama to hit campaign trail for Gov. candidate

The Democrats are really struggling to find a winning message, and so they’ve tapped former President Barack Obama to hit the campaign trail in Virginia this year.

Obama’s job will be to help breathe life into liberal voters who will have to show up in large numbers to ensure victory for Lt. Governor Ralph Northam. The liberal leaning Northam is hoping to succeed Terry McAuliffe as governor of Virginia.

Northam will face Republican nominee Ed Gillespie in the November election.
