Obama Says GOP Will Not Replace Obamacare

Barack Obama sat down for an interview with Trevor Noah of The Daily Show on Friday night, where the two discussed the future of Obamacare and other prominent issues.

With a deadline to sign up for Obamacare approaching, Noah asked Obama the following question: “What’s the point [of signing up] if the incoming administration is getting rid of it?”

Obama responded by saying  how “affordable” Obamacare is, and then went on to spout off “facts” about his healthcare plan.

“The fact is that we have the lowest uninsured rate in history. The fact is that despite all the predictions to the contrary, healthcare costs have gone up more slowly since I’ve signed that law than any time in the past fifty years.”

Obama said “[Repealing Obamacare] has become sort of a Holy Grail for Republicans, based on ideology and not facts.”

“It will be interesting to watch Republicans, who now actually have to produce, come up with a replacement that works better. I don’t think they will.”
