OLYMPIC WARNING TO SWIMMERS: “Don’t Open Your Mouth When Swimming.”

With less than two weeks until the Olympic games start in South America, athletes are being told they will be “swimming in human crap” when competing in Rio.

The Guanabara Bay is  said to be infested with dead animals, furniture, plastic bags, toys, automobiles, and garbage of all kinds.  Just last week a dead body was found floating where sailors and windsurfers will compete.

Health officials are warning Olympic swimmers to close their mouths or risk catching serious illnesses from the polluted waters.

The New York Times reports the attempt to clean up Rio’s waters have fallen short.
