One Steeler player defies his teammates during protest of national anthem (video)

America will win this war, trust me.

The NFL and their spoiled athletes who continue to disrespect the national anthem will lose the war they are trying to create.  Despite NFL football being a cherished part of the American culture, there is no comparison when comparing the NFL’s importance to that of the love and sacrifice of the men and women who lost their lives fighting for this country.

Today, most athletes are pampered money hungry babies who think they are larger than life.  It’s all about them, in their minds.  But America has had enough.  America is boycotting the NFL for its pathetic stance when it comes to not standing for the national anthem.

I don’t agree with everything Trump says or does, but I am with him 200% when it comes to supporting our flag and telling the NFL owners to fire the cowards who kneel during the anthem.

The Pittsburgh Steelers decided on Sunday to remain as a team in the locker room during the national anthem.  I disliked the Steelers as a kid, and today I dislike them even more.  Well, except for one guy.

Coach Mike Tomlin, who is African-American, decided that the Steelers would remain in their locker room while the national anthem was sang before their game with the Chicago Bears.

“You know, these are very divisive times for our country and for us as a football team it’s about us remaining solid,” Tomlin said before the game. “We’re not going to be divided by anything said by anyone. … We’re not going to let divisive times or divisive individuals affect our agenda.”

Despite Tomlin’s “tough guy” protest, one of the Steelers did not listen to the coach.  One player had the fortitude to walk out onto the field for the national anthem, and that player was Alejandro Villanueva. While the anthem was played, Villanueva stood just outside the player’s tunnel at Soldier Field with his hand over his heart. (see video)

Villanueva is a former Army Ranger.

The American people who appreciate the American flag and what the national anthem stands for realize what many of the NFL players fail to see.  Without the national anthem and the people who died for it to be sang, there would be no football on Sunday.

In my opinion, Trump needs to take his rhetoric even further.  Any person who kneels during the national anthem should lose their citizenship.
