According to The Daily Caller, the opposition research firm that hired Christopher Steele, the former British spy who compiled the 35-page, unverified dossier against President-elect Donald Trump, is the same firm that was “hired by Planned Parenthood to put a positive spin on videos showing the sale of baby parts.”

From the Daily Caller:

In 2015, Planned Parenthood hired Fusion GPS to produce a “forensic report” that looked at videos released by the pro-life group Center for Medical Progress showing Planned Parenthood officials negotiating the purchase of fetal tissue.

As The Weekly Standard reported, Fusion GPS pushed the report to Politico, which reported that the videos bore evidence of “manipulation.” There was no evidence that the videos had been manipulated, though they had been edited.

The New York Times reported on Wednesday that in September 2015, a Republican donor who opposed Trump hired Fusion GPS to compile a dossier about Trump that would expose scandals from the billionaire’s past.

After Trump became the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party, the donor cut funding to the project. From there, Hillary Clinton supporters took over and had Christopher Steele continue to build a file on Trump’s alleged ties to Russia.

On Tuesday, BuzzFeed published the unverified report for the whole world to see.
