Oprah Winfrey is returning to the big screen on March 9, 2018 in a film adaptation of the 1963 children’s book by Madeleine L’Engle, A Wrinkle in Time, which will be directed by Ava DuVernay.
Starring alongside Winfrey will be Hollywood verterans Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine, Zach Galifianakis and newcomer Storm Reid.
The first trailer dropped at D23 on Saturday, which was presented by DuVernay, Reid, Pine, Winfrey and Witherspoon.
The group showed off a new poster for the film, and Winfrey was universally applauded for parodying her famous car-giveaway line, yelling to the audience: “Everybody gets a poster! And you get a poster! And you get a poster!”
The film stars Storm Reid as Meg Murry, a young girl whose scientist father (played by Chris Pine) has been missing after disappearing years earlier. The sprawling cast also includes Oprah Winfrey (Mrs. Which), Reese Witherspoon (Mrs. Whatsit), Zach Galifianakis (The Happy Medium) and Mindy Kaling (Mrs. Who).
The colorful trailer, set to a cover of “Sweet Dreams,” can be viewed below:
