O’Reilly releases handwritten notes from Megyn Kelly & Gretchen Carlson

After new revelations came out Saturday that former Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly had allegedly paid $32 million to Fox analyst Lis Wiehl in January 2017, to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit, two other former Fox anchors, Megyn Kelly and Gretchen Carlson, have spoken out against him.

O’Reilly responded to the report Saturday by saying it was unfair, and that no one has ever complained about him and his behavior to the Fox news network.

Kelly went on attack against O’Reilly Monday during her NBC show, disputing Bill O’Reilly’s claims, saying that she complained about his behavior in the past, but it fell on deaf ears.

Carlson sent out a series of Twitter posts about the matter on Saturday. In one, she wrote, “Nobody pays $32m for false allegations – nobody.”

Monday afternoon, O’Reilly hit back in a Twitter post, in which he released copies of undated handwritten notes which both Kelly and Carlson had sent him in the past, in an effort to show that the relationship was all perfectly friendly during the time they worked together at Fox.

“My former FNC colleagues Megyn Kelly & Gretchen Carlson wrote me notes when we worked together. You can read them on https://t.co/rryWmyXe7C,” O’Reilly tweeted.

In an additional Twitter post, O’Reilly wrote, “I’m not going to run and hide because I didn’t do anything wrong. NYT wants to take me out of the marketplace, second time they attacked me.”

In the first letter that O’Reilly posted from Kelly, she wrote:

Dear Bill:

What a class act you are, coming to my baby shower. I was truly touched –  I know how busy you are, especially that time of day. It meant a lot to me + Doug. And thank you for the darling bodysuits + snuggly – it’s hard to believe will soon have a little human being in our lives tiny enough to fit in them.

You’ve become a dear friend (no matter what you say) + I am grateful to have you in my life.

-Megyn & Doug

The second letter from Kelly stated:

Bill –

Thanks for the plug on Doug’s book. I realize you didn’t have to do that, especially after mentioning it already.

I appreciate how supportive you have been of me over the years here @ FNC.

You are a true friend + mentor.

The letter O’Reilly posted from Gretchen Carlson read as follows:

Bill –

Thank you for being the calm in the sea.

Thank you so much for supporting me.

Thank you for being my friend.

It means the world to me
