Yesterday, Oscar-winner Susan Sarandon participated in a BLACK LIVES MATTER rally that took place in Brooklyn, NY. The rally got out of hand and led to four people being arrested.
Sarandon led the group of protesters estimated to exceed 100 people.
“If my son goes out with a hoodie on, he’s not afraid and I’m not worried,” Sarandon told The NY Post. “That’s not the same for others.” She continued by saying, “We don’t act as if black lives matter.”
Sarandon marched with her hands up. Her fellow marchers held up an array of signs claiming bias of one kind of another: “Silence=Violence” and “White Silence is Violent.”
Police had no details late Saturday on what charges would be brought against the arrested protesters.
