The Univision television network has incited outrage with its plans to broadcast a dramatic reenactment of last June’s massacre at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, that left 49 people dead.

The controversial episode, titled Baño de Sangre, or Blood Bath, is scheduled to air Saturday on Univision’s weekly news show, Crónicas de Sábado. In addition to the reenactment, the broadcast will feature interviews with survivors of the attack.

According to NBC News, actors and special effects were utilized in the dramatization of the mass shooting.

Orlando’s LGBT community is appalled at Univision’s insensitivity.

Pulse nightclub owner, ‎Barbara Poma‎ posted a reaction to the news of the pending broadcast on Crónicas de Sábado’s Facebook page.

“Shame on you and Shame on Univision! The lack of respect and humanity for these grieving families and traumatized survivors is incomprehensible.”

Survivor Brandon Wolf responded, “To see @CronicasSabado completely disrespect myself and other survivors is disgusting. Greed in its highest form. We will resist you.”

Carlos Carbonell also commented: “#Orlando is still healing, pull your incredibly insensitive re-enactment of the Pulse tragedy. Have a heart.”

Univision posted a trailer for the Blood Bath episode on social media but has since removed it. Crónicas De Sábado also posted a video segment of an interview with a survivor of the massacre.

Crónicas de Sábado released a statement in response to the fury: “Univision has set out to create a report that is deeply respectful of the many people whose lives were impacted by this tragedy, and, at the same time, is faithful to the facts underlying this horrible crime.”

The Pulse nightclub massacre, perpetrated by gunman Omar Mateen, was the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. Mateen, who had pledged allegiance to ISIS, was killed by a SWAT team after a three-hour standoff.

Last month, Mateen’s wife, Noor Salman was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting by providing material support to a terrorist.
