A suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a Pennsylvania state trooper was shot dead during an encounter with law enforcement Saturday morning, state police have confirmed.
Pennsylvania state trooper Landon Weaver was fatally shot Friday night while responding to a domestic abuse incident in a Juanita Township home around 6:30 p.m.
Areas surrounding the home were quickly closed off to assist in the search for the killer.
Trooper David McGarvey told New York Daily News Saturday that an arrest warrant was issued for 32-year-old Jason Robison’s capture “in relationship” to the shooting and a widespread manhunt ensued.
NY Daily News reported the suspect, Robison, was apparently sporting purple hair while on the run and was believed to be “armed and dangerous” prior to being cornered and shot.
This is a developing story.
Robison is deceased; more information to follow. https://t.co/vAxJUyJvdP
