Pakistani authorities are poisoning stray dogs by packing chicken and meats with poison pills. City officials claim the dogs are biting people and there is no other way to stop the problem.

In the video below, dog corpses are lying in the streets and the city employees have been disposing of them like they would trash bags.

There was 6,500 people bitten by dogs in 2015, and the number this year is at about 3,700 incidents, according to Pakistani doctor, Dr Seemin Jamali, as quoted by Reuters.

Officials don’t have the exact estimates of the total number of strays killed at the moment. However, they say that thousands should be culled in total.
