In an ultimate display of poor parenting, a pair of radical Islamists from Graz, Austria have been accused of forcing their five children to watch ISIS execution videos so as to, “turn them into better jihadists.”
The parents, 29 and 39, haven’t been named publicly, but were detailed in court to have sold their car in order to fund a trip to Syria, where they showed their children ISIS battle scenes daily and even had their 8-year-old training with firearms.
The defense claimed that the trip was merely a holiday, to which the prosecution replied, “Do you sell your car before every holiday?”
The father claims to have been hoodwinked by a radical sect of his local mosque into thinking he could live safely with his family in Syria but also relies heavily on Austria’s generous social service benefits.
He states that he was not a member of ISIS but did admit to receiving a car, a flat and a job from the terror group.
The most troubling report from the courtroom details the father laughing as the prosecution read the crimes and evidence, he said, “I am sorry, a lot goes through my head, what we had to do.”
The case continues this week.
