Passenger Speaks Out About Disruptive Delta Flight Couple

After the recent incident on a Delta flight where a couple had to be removed for causing a disturbance mid-flight, passengers are now reacting to the surprising behavior displayed by the pair.

Delta Flight 2565, traveling from Minneapolis to Los Angeles, was forced to turn back after only 20 minutes into the flight when Blake Adam Fleisig and Anna Christine Koosmann “refused to follow crew instructions, became aggressive and created a disruption.”

Passenger, Alicia Wentland, told ABC 5 News that because of the unruly couple she, along with 30 other passengers, missed their connecting flights and were left stranded in California.

“Apparently they were arguing about their seats and yelling at people and saying we want to sit together and just caused a commotion,” Wentland said of Koosmann and Fleisig. “This was before we even took off – before the doors were even shut – so there was a problem.”

“All of the sudden, this girl is yelling at the flight attendants. They’re telling her she needs to sit back down,” she said.  “I heard one flight attendant say, ‘Don’t touch me get your hands off me!'”

“The pilot came on the air three times and said, ‘The people in these seats need to sit down or I’m turning the plane around,’ and so after the third time he said, ‘That’s it folks we’re going back to Minneapolis,’ and then (Koosmann) shut up.”

Delta Airlines released a statement saying that the flight crew, “elected to return to Minneapolis-St. Paul shortly after takeoff when two passengers refused to follow crew instructions, became aggressive and created a disruption in the cabin.”

But while Wentland was upset about the disruptive couple, she was also disheartened by how she said that Delta handled the situation.

“There was no acknowledgement as to how anyone else on that plane felt,” she said.

And while all of the remaining passengers returned to the flight and made the journey to Los Angeles, Wentland was not pleased, saying, “Delta did nothing on the other end to help any of us.”
