Martellus Bennett, the tight end for the New England Patriots, told reporting media Sunday night that he will be skipping the Super Bowl post-win celebrations at the White House.

According to Dallas Morning News, Bennett is not a fan of President Donald Trump.

Despite winning his first Super Bowl in a major comeback against the Atlanta Falcons, Bennett has no plans of attending festivities in D.C.

“It is what it is. People know how I feel about it. Just follow me on Twitter,” Bennett explained to the paper.

In terms of offending team owner Robert Kraft by his refusal to attend, Bennett says: “I’m not really worried about that. I’m not worried about it at all.”

While Bennett’s decision to abstain from a journey to the White House is quite political, the Patriots member claims the team does not typically engage in political conversations.

“You just don’t bring that to work. We all have our beliefs. We accept people for who they are,” he said.
