Frequent Donald Trump critic, Rand Paul admitted that after spending some quality time with the president, he feels that a repeal and replacement of Obamacare is certainly not dead.
The Republican senator spent Sunday playing golf with Trump and came away from the experience with a very positive outlook.
“We had a great day with the president,” Paul told reporters. “Played some golf, and we talked … we talked about a little bit of healthcare. I continue to be very optimistic that we are getting closer and closer to an agreement on repealing Obamacare.”
Earlier in the day, Trump posted on Twitter, hinting about continuing talks taking place regarding a new health care plan for the American people.
“Talks on (sic) Repealing and Replacing ObmaCare are, and have been, going on, and will continue until such time as a deal is hopefully struck,” he tweeted.
