One pedestrian was pinned by a London cab after it jumped a curb and slammed into a shopping center on Wednesday.
According to reports, at around 5 p.m. local time, the cab crashed into a building near the Covent Garden shopping center, sending shoppers running and leaving one person trapped.
An eyewitness said she heard the screams of the pedestrians struck by the car.
According to the BBC, police have said the incident is not believed to be terror-related and it appears two vehicles were involved in the collision.
Reportedly, two people were treated by London Ambulance Service at the scene, and the driver of the taxi was detained.
Pedestrians may be slightly on edge, as several terrorist attacks have involved vehicles across Europe. And the incident comes just one day after a foreign national, Sayfullo Saipov, drove into pedestrians on a bike path in Manhattan, New York, killing eight people and injuring 11.

I was 30 seconds away from that crash in #CoventGarden in London. It drove up the street we just turned off. We’re okay but heavily shook up
