Pelosi caught reading false history account

In a press conference Tuesday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi decided to read an article about the Declaration of Independence, which turned out to be false.

The article Pelosi read was about what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence, but, according to the Washington Free Beacon, it is a piece that has previously been debunked as not entirely factual.

Pelosi held up her phone and read the article, saying, “We came back from the Fourth of July celebration and I saw this article.”

She mentioned “voter rights and voter suppression” before reading the piece, and concluded with a call for her fellow Democrats to ponder the sacrifices so many people made at the start of our country, as well as what civil rights leaders did to expand the right to vote.
