Pelosi has a day of outrage over tax reform bill (video)

House Minority Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is no fan of the GOP tax reform bill, and she voiced her outrage, both before and after it was passed in the House Tuesday afternoon, in a 227-203 vote.

Pelosi claimed in a Twitter post Monday evening that the bill would raise taxes on 86 million middle class households, and give 83% of the benefits to the wealthiest 1% of Americans. “This will go down as one of the most scandalous, obscene acts of plutocracy ever,” Pelosi tweeted.

In another tweet, she said, “We stand at a decisive moment for the future of America. The #GOPTaxScam takes the first step to obliterate Medicaid & Medicare, while giving 83% of its benefits to the wealthiest 1 percent.”

She brought in handicapped individuals to testify against it, claiming the tax bill was going to do great harm to them.

In her speech on the House floor Tuesday, prior to the vote, she claimed the tax bill would “ship jobs overseas.” In fact, President Trump has pushed for the bill, to bring jobs back to America, FROM overseas.

“Is there justice in a bill that rewards corporations shippings jobs overseas, jobs of hard working American men and women and veterans… is there justice in that?” Pelosi ranted, as she called the bill, “Frankenstein’s monster.”

After the bill passed, Pelosi shot out several additional Twitter posts, voicing her disgust by the cheers from Republicans as they votes confirmed the win.

“There are few things more disturbing than hearing the swell of cheers from the @HouseGOP as they raise taxes on 86 million middle class families. #GOPTaxScam,” Pelosi tweeted.

She added, “Shamefully, Republicans were cheering against the children as they rob from their future and ransack the middle class to reward the rich.”
