In a Friday appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that she would advise President Trump to “go to sleep.”
“What I have advised him to do—go to sleep,” Pelosi said when asked what advice she would give the president. “Get some sleep. Bring yourself to a place where there’s synapses [that] are working. I think there’s something not—more sleep might be a solution for him.”
Citing Trump’s late hours, Pelosi recalled the president’s decision in April to authorize a missile launch into Syria.
“It was like midnight,” she said of a call she received from Trump regarding the launch. “It was well after it was all finished.”
“He was going on and on,” Pelosi claimed. “It was like midnight and I said, ‘Why don’t you get some sleep?’”
In a February interview with former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, Trump said that he typically works “long hours” and sleeps only 4 to 5 hours a night.
