Governor Mike Pence, also known as Donald Trump’s running mate, is taking his own road when it comes to lending his support to amnesty-friendly, Rep. Paul Ryan.
Pence announced he was endorsing Ryan’s re-election bid in an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, just one day after Trump said that he’s giving “very serious consideration” to supporting Ryan, but he’s “not quite there yet.”
Ryan faces a primary challenge from successful businessman Paul Nehlen. The primary election is Tuesday.
“I spoke to Donald Trump this morning about my support for Paul Ryan, our longtime friendship,” Pence said on Fox. “He strongly encouraged me to endorse Paul Ryan in next Tuesday’s primary. I’m pleased to do it.”
