People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, best-known as PETA, has entered a new realm of weirdness with their latest way of trying to get Americans to stop eating meat. The organization has released a series of print ads, which show interracial and homosexual lovers in bed looking frustrated, because there’s a barnyard animal in between them.

Doc Thompson and his crew on Friday’s “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson” radio show had fun trying to figure out why the first ad featured a couple of apparently gay men laying in bed with a chicken.

“They both look very upset and disappointed,” Kal Elsebai said, describing the strange scene for listeners. “There’s a chicken in between them in the bed.”

The large-print tagline on the ad reads, “Meat interrupts your sex life.” Doc noted that anyone’s first impression upon seeing the ad will be: “The chicken is involved in some kind of sexual act.”

Located way down in the fine print below, PETA explains that eating meat can clog your arteries and lead to erectile dysfunction. In two other ads, interracial couples each have a cow and a pig between them. One of the men pictured in the ad with the cow is sporting a man bun, so it’s likely that there are other reasons why he’s not getting any action.
