MINNESOTA — Police arrested 25 people from the front of the governor’s mansion in St. Paul for unlawful assembly on Tuesday. Authorities say the protesters refused orders to stop blocking traffic and leave the area, so they could clear it of debris.
The protesters have been camped outside the governor’s mansion for nearly three weeks since the death of Philando Castile, the Falcon Heights man who was shot and killed by police after a routing traffic stop. Castile’s girlfriend, who is a habitual drug user, broadcasted his death on Facebook LIVE.
