The often controversial Piers Morgan gave a behind-the-scenes account of former White House aid Omarosa Manigault-Newman, who served as the communications director for the Office of Public Liaison until she was fired in December. Piers and Manigault knew each other during a 2008 season of Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice.”
As Manigault trashes the Trump administration with slams against Vice President Mike Pence and distances herself from President Donald J. Trump, Morgan is revealing his own insider information into Manigault’s personality.
The Washington Examiner reports the following (edited for foul language): Omarosa Manigault offered fellow TV personality Piers Morgan sex to win the “Celebrity Apprentice” when the two were on the show together in 2008, according to an explosive op-ed by Morgan in the Daily Mail.
When Morgan denied the request, Manigault began accusing him of being a homosexual, and spreading rumors about his sexuality while calling him a “f**king fa**ot” in the process, according to Morgan.
“I’ve met a lot of vile human beings in my life, from dictators and terrorists to sex abusers and wicked conmen,” Morgan wrote. “But I’ve never met anyone quite so relentlessly loathsome as Omarosa; a vicious, duplicitous, lying, conniving, backstabbing piece of work.”
Morgan questioned why she was ever hired to work in the White House. In the op-ed, he explains: “This is a woman who would do anything to get what she wants – however shameless and shameful. I met her a decade ago when we were cast together in the first season of Celebrity Apprentice in 2008.”
In the Daily Mail piece, he continues: Omarosa sidled up to me at the New York Mercantile Exchange and said, quite seriously: ‘Piers, do you want a showmance?’ ‘A what?’ I replied. ‘A showmance. You know, a romance on the show – we get it on together. Happens all the time on Apprentice. Everyone has sex together. Then we can make lots of money out of it.’ I stared at her grasping, ferociously ambitious little eyes, and laughed: ‘You must be joking, you deluded woman.’ She didn’t take it well. ‘What are you? Gay?’
From that moment, she turned on me like a viper.
I can honestly say I’ve never been spoken to in my life like the disgusting, foul-mouthed, homophobic way Omarosa spat at me throughout the weeks of filming.
After Manigault was fired and reportedly “dragged out of the White House during her departure after she was refusing to leave,” according to the Examiner, she joined this season’s cast of CBS’ “Celebrity Big Brother.” She’s since been talking negatively about her time in the White House during airings of the show.
