POLL: Anderson Cooper’s excuse about the mean tweet sent to the president, is it a lie?

Anderson Cooper, despite his low ratings, is the face of CNN in the same way Bill O’Reilly was once the face of Fox News. He attempts to come off as an unbiased journalist, but often shows an inability to conceal his disdain for President Trump.

Cooper came under fire on Wednesday after he responded to a tweet published by Trump with a tweet of his own.  Cooper’s Wednesday tweet labeling the president a “tool” and a “pathetic loser” was the result of someone taking his assistant’s phone, according to CNN.

The story they are trying to sell is that a person stole the smartphone belonging to Cooper’s assistant, the only other person with access to the anchor’s Twitter account, after he left his phone unlocked and unattended at a gym early this morning.

CNN claims geolocation tools confirm that the tweet in question was not sent from Anderson Cooper’s phone. Anderson was in Washington, D.C., and CNN allegedly has proof the tweet was sent from New York.

The tweet was a response to one sent by Trump regarding the Alabama election upset Tuesday. Trump said he wanted Luther Strange as the GOP nominee. Anderson replied, “Oh Really? You endorsed him [Moore] you tool! Pathetic loser.” The tweet is now deleted.

Do you believe Anderson’s excuse, or is it a lie?
