Following the Islamic terror attack at several hotels and Christian churches during Easter services in Sri Lanka on Sunday, many have noted the stark difference in the responses from Democrat leaders, compared to an earlier attack last month against Muslims.

On March 15, an Australian “white supremacist” opened fire in two New Zealand mosques, killing 50 people and injuring another 39. Christians around the world joined in to condemn the heinous attack. Democrats loudly denounced all forms of hatred and Islamophobia and attempted to blame President Donald Trump for the attack, since the killer had stated that he admired Trump.

In responding to the New Zealand attack, former president Barack Obama said, “We grieve with you and the Muslim community.” Hillary Clinton denounced the attack as well, saying, “My heart breaks for New Zealand & the global Muslim community. We must continue to fight the perpetuation and normalization of Islamophobia and racism in all its forms. White supremacist terrorists must be condemned by leaders everywhere. Their murderous hatred must be stopped.”

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi stated, “We mourn the loss of 49 lives cut short in the horrific act of violence in Christchurch, New Zealand. Islamophobia and such acts of pure hatred have no place in a civilized world.”

However, after Sunday’s attack against Christians, by Islamic terrorists, Democrat leaders refused to acknowledge both that it was an attack against Christians, or that it was committed by Islamic terrorists.  Obama and Clinton both softly said it was an attack against “Easter worshippers.”

Pelosi simply said, “Today’s heartbreaking attacks in Sri Lanka come as the country has worked hard to build a common future after years of war. Our thoughts are with the injured & the families of those killed in today’s Easter Sunday attacks.”
