This week, Ivanka Trump attended a women’s summit in Germany where she deftly stood up to criticism and made her case for her father and for women’s rights.
She also made comments about being open to more Syrian refugees coming to the United States. According to Ivanka, taking in Syrian refugees has to be part of the bigger conversation about solving the problems in Syria.
Reportedly, Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner — who serves as a presidential advisor to President Trump — have deployed the services of Democratic public relations strategist, Risa Heller. Furthermore, Ivanka and Kushner were Democratic donors before the 2016 campaign.
Some conservative voices are casting concern on Ivanka’s potential influence over the president’s decision-making when it comes to things like social issues and refugees.
